The Harker Heights City Council awarded the construction of The City of Harker Heights Police Facility to Pearson based on pricing, completion schedule, and company reputation.
Harker Heights Police StationĀ – Harker Heights, Texas
Project Description
Pearson worked to install a sally-port, serving as a secure, controlled entrance to the rear of the jail. The police facility’s increased safety allowed individuals to be contained securely while transferring them from police cruisers into the booking area. Pearson installed a custom, stainless steel-clad booking station, providing officers an easily sanitized processing unit for fingerprinting and mugshots.
The new structure offers more holding capacity with padded containment cells, equipped with custom flushing floor drains. The features increase work efficiency and reduce the risk of officer injury.
During construction, Pearson communicated with the city to respond to requests for additional work and plan changes. Despite costs associated with the changes, Pearson’s estimating team offered recommendations saving the owner $2,000.
